Are you devoting some time to yourself?

What do you see when you fix your gaze with your mirror-image? There are more than normal chances that you would observe crowfeet, wrinkles, hyper-pigmentation and sagging skin, especially if you have crossed 30 years of your life! Take out some time to look beyond that; can you imagine you had been one of the cutest toddlers of your extended family. What happened to your facial luminosity? Nothing, it lies all there but the eyes fail to see that. Attempt to see that beautiful person that lies beneath your skin, and feel good after realization. Beauty is not skin deep; it is something beyond the reach of measurable finites.

The struggle for existence is, not altogether, an evil; the important virtue is to know that you are special in the whole world. Make attempts for continuous enlargement for the area of peace and love in your inner self, and then your spiritual vision would show you vivid colors that you are made of. Its all about clear thinking and fixing of priorities. Every person should be respected as an absolute end in himself, and yet, every person must be treated as an essential part of the cosmos. Get a hands-on experience with the subtle depth and omnipresent force of instinct and timeless faith, and that would be the time when you would feel at the maximum effortlessness. You must start your own voyage for long-sought-for and long-despaired-of inner reality and essence of life, which is ecstatically beautiful and ageless.

10 steps to enhance your self-image

Identify every thing that you are capable of performing with adroitness. Feel good that you have a mind that thinks amazing things. Feel good that your body gives you wonderful moments of laughing, dreaming, walking, breathing and dancing.

Make a list of things that you like in yourself. Don’t be overtly skeptic in preparing this list. Make it a point to stick this list on your desktop screen or over your work table so that you get tempted to add one quality every day. You must realize the lovable side of your personality.

Discard the superficial notions of beauty; beauty is never skin-deep. The acts of goodness make someone beautiful beyond descriptions. Repudiate the ordinary definitions of beauty. Beauty is a state of your mind, and when you are confident, compassionate and caring, you embody beauty. Let the acts of hope, kindness and positivity gain ground in the wet earth of your mind.

Don’t pay heed to different parts of your body that make you hate the mirror. Look out for the comprehensiveness of your body.

Keep yourself surrounded with a horde of positive people. You would notice a sea of changes in your thought process if you are in the company of people who are supportive and understanding.

Don’t invest the energies of your mind in any form of negativity. The world if full of people who would shatter your beliefs from the right paths without a second thought. It’s very easy to get shredded in pieces deep inside. Don’t allow anyone to hold your morals in captivity; emerge out a winner every time you are written off with vehemence.

Match your mood with your attire. Wear clothes that are comfortable to you. A good set of clothes and shoe can be an instant mood-lifter. Know your preferences, and choose your belongings yourself.

Fall in love with yourself. Take out some time to ask about the wellness of your own soul. Take out some time to steal a power nap in the noon, find a peaceful place to observe the clear sky, get full body massage like you used to get in your salad days.

Make best use of time by spreading rays of hopes in your surroundings. Identify the opportunities where you can make a difference, and then stick to your cause as if there is no tomorrow. An act of kindness always bounces back when you need it the most.

Appreciate others’ good deeds and gentle gestures. Put the kibosh on unending criticism of others. Don’t kick against the pricks every time. Be eloquent in expressing your heartfelt emotions of benevolent nature.

Berserk Beauty

Do you have to sluice the cerebral fluid to know what is beautiful in its appearance and what is not? I am sure, not. Your senses know the difference between sensuous and boring, pleasant and unappealing; within microseconds the image forms in your retina and perceived by your subconscious (what is superconscious?). How our mind does appreciate the difference of pleasant and unpleasant sights? Does it have to do with acquired knowledge or compulsory gimmick of genetic assortment? Have you ever wondered over the fact that a person is called beautiful and the other, ugly even while both of them are blessed with largely similar facial attributes? Difference lies in minimal disparity in the shape of smile, size of eyes, and pattern of hair, which is blessed with birth and only the creator knows the cause of blessing the variations. Ok, we have different attributes but why our mind perceives someone with a broad nose to be ugly, someone with a low forehead less appealing, someone with less luminous skin as unlikable? Why not the other way round?

The deviation of a smile can spell a doom if gone the wrong way, but why? Why rough skin is repulsive and lustrous skin is captivating? Are our brains fitted with the some mystic and unyielding encrypted equations that force us to accept something to be beautiful if it matches certain standards, which are predefined (that is by birth, or may be beyond that) and not in our control?

Why hadn’t the creator made our brains to react indifferently to everybody with regards to physical attributes? Why do we have to categorize people and things into beautiful, average and ugly? We, as humans, vociferously advocate the law of equality for mankind, but what notions were taken into account by the creator when the souls were being enveloped by bodies? What do you think of this draconian yet divine law that forms the basis of obstinate inequality? When some of us hold the broad vision of not being judgmental and biased by the external aspects of the people and things, do we behave in ungodly way? Or by doing this we challenge the restrictions sewn in our genes and let our spirit fights off the innate impunity, for which we are not responsible? What can clean the Augean stables that harbor the jungle of our chromosomes?
