- Rearrange you room. Change the interiors, realign the furniture, do whatever you want to.
- Write someone a personal note in a recycled paper that smells like orchids.
- Dress up in the funky outfit you always wanted to flaunt as a teenager.
- Make a collage by cutting pictures from the magazines.
- Take recluse in an area where the cellular network just doesn’t work.
- Look out for the hungriest child in the streets, and feed him aplenty.
- Purchase a new dress, or a new set of office stationery, or that antique furniture from chor bazaar you always had a lust for.
- Make plan for the rainy season. How about cruising the muddy ways to explore the town? How about getting drenched in heavy lash of rains?
- Cook a snack that used to be your favourite when you were a child.
- Help someone taking a decision.
- Call up someone with whom you have not spoken in ages.
- Make a rush to your favourite spot of the town. Be it your choice of restaurant, park, mall or cinema hall.
- Go to a nearby garden and watch the flowers closely.
- Wake up early in the morning and watch the calm faces of your sleeping kids.
- Finish the day’s work early and give yourself a couple of hours for your own self.
- Get hold of an inspirational site or blog, and get absorbed.
- Touch your car as if it is a human.
- Give your spouse a bouquet of roses. Freshly chosen roses with nice little water drops over the petals.
- Remember the first film that you watched with your spouse? Just watch it again, obviously with him/her.
- Close your eyes and imagine the highest of hills, the calmest of seas, and the widest of jungles. Remain in the state for few minutes.

Missing the Buzz... Here I am.
I am writing this post after many months; and I must establish that by the end of April 2011, for the unfathomed reasons, I had the gut instinct that I may be kept denuded of my virtual social life for the weeks to come. Professional commitments come in the unyielding coats and, like most of the toffee-nosed bosses, demand unflickering attention. Initially I felt bad for now adhering to my daily ritual of blogging, then the craving diminished as the time passed. When time decides to move on, it virtually gives horns to your internal processors, complimented with a comfortable amnesia, selective of course.
It was an usual morning about a week back and I could experience a sudden jolt in my telencephalon. What the heck I was doing all these months? There had been moments of ecstasy, randomness, accomplishments, failures, humdrum and what not? Why was I careless enough to keep my readers devoid of their daily dose? Why not spread the whiff of my experiences to the folks? To observe is the bliss and to disseminate the knowledge is divine.
It is hard to extract some slice of life from the over-congested schedule of my daily life as a doctor; but it had to be done. And as I write this small piece, I feel content. I feel like a child who just found an uninhabited jungle of mango trees, with bunch of ripe mangoes hanging from every branch. The more I write the more I know myself. To discover the untouched facets of your mind and soul is indeed an experience. The more you discover something precious, the avarice increases exponentially. You keep on exploring till you start nearing the kernel of your existence, your innerself, in its purest form. I make a promise to all my friends, colleagues and readers that I will continue to write till the time I think my rendezvous with life bears a potential to be shared.

5 reasons why I blog
It’s not long before that I used to read others’ blogs and wondered what it takes to be a blogger. The obvious hurdles always frightened me and I tended to restrain putting my best feet forward. Then a fine morning, I thought to write a short and snappy piece and review the response. Now it’s 25 posts and going. Here are 5 reasons why I blog.
1. To water my withering thoughts
We tend to engross in the usual chores so hard that the presence of paranormal realities fail to stir us. Thoughts wilt and we shrink ourselves, an inundated truth. I thought to revisit the lanes of my mind where certain pockets were waiting to be explored and this blog took birth.
2. It’s ‘IN’ to be a blogger
Anything new & worth trying in the block thrills me to the core. I started blogging just to savor the experience and it rocked. What more, It’s helpful for the people who just happened to come across some of my post and wanted to read something similar.
3. To be rendered keen eyes
I always wanted to be given devoted ears and eyes, and now I have got them (my audience)! It is a rousing feel to know that people are actually reading your thoughts.
4. Bypass the editorial quibbling and be the sovereign
It really is like having my own little diary which is kept open for the people to have a glance and scribble their opinions. No hassles of getting the final-proof from the editorial seat, I decide the content, I write the content and I publish the content. Ha !!
5. I am addicted to blogging now
It never happened to hit me in the beginning but as I indulged, I have fallen prey. It’s a coercive power which forces me to take out some time from my schedule, sit down and write. It’s a lovely little feeling and a very revivifying one. No amount of caffeine has invigorated me enough than to see my little piece being fed into the gut of blogger.

Maximal Invasive Reach; Web strategy for doctors
With the advent of new-era communicative tools, findings things of relevance has not remained a tough nut to crack. People all over search the internet for things that interests them and make their opinions about. I think it’s important in today’s fast-paced and interconnected world for a doctor to make some use of various collaborative tools in the web world. It won’t just leverage the quantum and authenticity of their practice but in turn would be helpful for the patients as well. Suppose, someone is desperately searching for competent oncologists in his / her area and he googles it, there are high chances that he will be connected to the profiles of some of the specialists in the region, who may or may not be super experts. Now the choice is limited as the person in need is unlikely to personally visit every specialist and form an opinion to select the best. Here role of web presence matters a lot.
By understanding the need of projecting your special interests and capabilities as a clinician, you can help patients in dire need of your services and believe me its not a web developer’s job to highlight your profile or to enhance your web reach. By virtue of simple tools (your personal website, basic social networking tools i.e. facebook, linkedin etc, bookmarking tools i.e. stumbleupon, delicious etc), the profile’s visibility can be increased multifold. If you can write a blog, make it a point to do it regularly and keep on updating about your professional inclinations and techniques. If the target audience is a patient, the goal should be to equip him / her with the knowledge and options of various treatment modes.
The top trends in web and social media usage of internet tools are increase in the number of websites that target to social networking of health care professionals only & a high rise in web version availability of all medical and scientific journals. Its high time that we start contributing actively our scientific papers to online journals that would add up the credibility and serve as a cornerstone for our patient in his / her selection of care provider. Patients are looking for authoritative but personal information to help them navigate all of the health information they find in today’s media, and I find that using social media helps me to reach more than just the patient in my exam room, hopefully saving patients and parents unnecessary anxiety and saving physicians and other health care providers unnecessary visits.
